An experiment where a group of people in a room with plants and another group in a room with no plants at all were compared. Those with plants around had a four pt. drop in BP as compared to the other group which had a two pt. drop.
There are also several mental benefits to indoor plants. They have a positive impact on one’s mental activities, efficiency and patterns. Some of these benefits are better focus, a better memory, increased concentration and improved determination. Indoor plants also boost creativity. In an experiment, people with plants around were able to generate 13% more ideas as compared to the those with sculptures around them.
